All hail the Queen! Tonight was the opening night of Lady Gaga’s The Monster Ball tour in Montreal and it was nothing less than fierce and ferosh!!! From the set to the costume changes to the dancing and the general vibe in the room, it was spectacular. The show started a little late (we waited about an hour and a half between the first act and Gaga), but she definitely made up for it!
The show was an electric blend of sound, video, lasers and of course Gaga’s undeniable talent. In a world where most artist lipsynch their way through entire show (yes, I’m talking about you Britney!), Gaga set herself apart from the rest of the pop tarts and blew us all away with her delicious voice.
The show began with what seemed to be a video projection of Gaga in her glam fashions. Then she emerged, the Queen of the night! Signing songs from her first album, The Fame, and her second album, The Fame Monster, Gaga kept the crowd dancing all night and did a special remixed version of “Pokerface” with Kid Cudi. She transformed with a number of costume changes, decked out in true Gaga style. At one point the vibes slowed down and, with the look in her eyes, you could feel what she felt – that she had made it. With the crowd chanting her songs, you could really get a sense what she was feeling – and it was amazing!
I absolutely loved, loved, loved Gaga’s show!!! The show was a pure work of art! This proved to me that she has officially taken the title as the Queen of Pop. Perez, she definitely made you proud!
