Oh how quickly time flies. New York Fashion Week is coming to a end and even though we have yet to feel Spring, we are already seeing our fashion future in the Fall 2010 runways.
Gone are the dark days of Fall. The runways were a showcase of winter florals! DVF, Peter Som and Tracy Reese all showed us how florals can transition into Winter chic and effortlessly!
Although metallics have always been huge, Fall is seeing a much more muted version of the disco ball look. Designers including Donna Karen, Jason Wu and Marc Jacobs weaved metallic threads into their prices to create a subtle sheen. I personally love the simplicity of Donna Karan’s collection!
It was all about layering and texture for the Fall collections. The layering of soft, touchable fabrics to create a cozy look. Fur, feathers and embellished silk tops create a beautiful look.
Fall is all about colour and it’s refreshing to see so many beautiful hues hitting the runway. From Carolina Herrera to Peter Som, bright colour dominated in every shape and form.
Personally, I am loving Donna Karan’s Fall collection! Which is your favourite?
