If I had to sum up my weekend in three words it would be pink, glitter and sweet! Saturday I joined my friends to celebrate the (near) arrival of their baby girl at a baby shower. It was an evening filled with cake, candy, treats, comfort food, and lots of pink! Oh, and pastel marshmallows (seriously, when was the last time you had marshmallows!!!).
The sweetness didn’t stop there. Sunday’s cold bitter weather didn’t stop us from lining up for no less than an hour and a half for Cupcake Camp Montreal!
We walked in to a sea of colourful treats each as delicious-looking as the next. It was like going to heaven (assuming heaven is made of cupcakes)! Chocolate, vanilla, coconut, apple spice, caramel – you name it, they had it! There were even more unique flavours such as key lime and pomegranate! Believe me, choosing just a few was not easy!
These square cupcakes were absolutely delicious! The vendors even came outside to offer a few free ones to those of us brave enough to stand in the cold for an hour! The lengths we go through in search for the perfect cupcake!
My rewards for the day! Seven deliciously beautiful cupcakes – key lime, red velvet (of course!), coconut, vanilla with buttercream icing, caramel corn, chocolate and my new favourite, vanilla with bright pink sprinkles! Time to enjoy a few while my toes begin to thaw!
