I am obsessed! Over the past little while, I have had a weird craving for oatmeal cookies. So I scoured my fave recipe books and Websites for the perfect cookie – healthy, delicious and super soft and chewy. And guess what, I finally found it! My girl Candice Kumai delivers once again in her book Pretty Delicious: Lean and Lovely Recipes for a Healthy, Happy New You.
These cookies are just so scrumptious. I have made them twice in the past few months and just can’t seem to get enough. Now if you are a regular reader of my blog, you know that I have raved about Miss Kumai’s book more than once (like here, here and here). Her recipes are all about cooking with real foods and eliminating all the processed crap from your diet. A concept that I have embraced since I made my New Year’s resolutions.
Each and every recipe I have made from her book has allowed me to eat well and be fully satisfied with smaller portions that keep me full for hours. As for these sweet bites of yumminess, I would love to post the recipe for you, but instead I will highly encourage you to get Pretty Delicious. And if you already have the book (and I know some of you do), make these cookies! But I feel I have to warn you, they are extremely addictive!
