One of my more recent culinary obsession takes the form of Greek yogurt. Now, the weird thing is that I never liked Greek yogurt before. So weird how one day you suddenly decide to try something and love it! And honestly, when it comes to Greek yogurt, what’s not to love. It’s fat free, loaded with protein and is the most perfect alternative to fatty dips and regrettable desserts.
In this edition of Foodie Friday, I introduce you to my new morning obsession. Take Greek yogurt (make sure you check your portion sizes), add a generous handful of blueberries, drizzle with maple syrup, sprinkle with cinnamon and throw in a few pieces of chopped walnuts or almonds. And voilà! A nutritious breakfast that will keep you full ’til lunch and keep you looking sexy and fabulous!
There are so many yummy ways to enjoy Greek yogurt. Add a dollop to your soups, use it in your chicken pita wraps, whip up a nutritious dip by adding garlic and a few herbs. And the added bonus: it will keep your tummy happy with all those active cultures that aid in digestion. What’s not to love!
