To say that I’m in love with NYC is a clear understatement. The energy of the city, the vibrancy of the people, the undeniable style each person exudes pull me in in a way that no other city can. So two weeks ago, I packed up my weekender and set off to rediscover my first love, New York City. Now here’s the catch – the weekend I ended up going was the same weekend Irene chose to visit (that bitch). Oh well, we still made the most of one day we had to explore the city and oh what a time we had! Sensational shopping, fabulous food and great company (and new friends) definitely made it a memorable weekend. Since vacations are all about chillaxing, what better way than with delicious food and a frosty drink (no joke, it was 37 degrees that day)!
Chilling after a hot day exploring Soho. We topped the afternoon at Dos Caminos for guacamole trio, homemade tortilla chips, fish tacos, prickly pear drinks and a few Avion shots (yes, the same as in Entourage)!
With only a day to shop, I definitely made the most of it…
First stop, Henry Bendel where I picked up this cute stackable ring.
Next I hit up Topshop in Soho and… well, let’s just say I was in heaven. I could have gone crazy in this shop, everything is fabulous! I picked up a cute beaded top (simple and chic!), an gold-tone oversized fish necklace (that I’ve been getting tons of complements on), and this cute faux fur hat, perfect for Montreal winters. I’m not a big fan of the cold so I figured that this hat would help ease the pain.
Finally, stop at Alexander Wang was in order. The shop is so gorgeous, airy and white, love it! I picked up a navy tank from the T by Alexander Wang collection. It’s so soft and fits so perfectly I feel like wearing it everyday!
So long NYC! ‘Till we meet again!
