There’s nothing more beautiful and inspiring than a designer collection created for a good cause. Case in point, the Born Free collection available exclusively at Shopbop.
This exclusive collection was born (no pun intended) from a collaboration between Born Free Africa and fashion queens Anna Wintour and Diane von Furstenberg in conjunction with Amazon Fashion, MAC AIDS Fund and 22 leading women in fashion. The goal is to raise awareness and support the elimination of mother-to-child HIV transmission. Since the 22 top designers who have contributed to the collection are mothers themselves, they are strongly connected to this cause.
What’s so special about the collection?
The entire collection, including clothing and accessories for women and children, is based on prints from Wangechi Mutu, a celebrated Kenyan-born New York- based visual artist. The collection includes around 50 pieces (most items under $250) created by some of the biggest names in fashion, including Tory Burch, Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, Consuelo Castiglioni for Marni, Carolina Herrera, Donna Karan, Clare Waight Keller for Chloe, Jenna Lyons for J Crew, Isabel Marant… the list goes on.
Now that I’ve wet your sartorial appetite a little, head over to Shopbob to view the entire limited edition collection.
