Soft, hydrated skin in the winter can seem much like a myth, at least to me anyway. After years of dry itchy skin, I’ve finally found a routine that works for me.
Drink warm water with lemon
Every morning, before I have breakfast, I have a cup of hot water with lemon. Not only does it give you a good dose of vitamin C, it is also full of antioxidants which can effectively combat damaging free radicals and purge them from your body. Translation – it will give you beautiful skin from the inside out.
Your skin works hard to eliminate toxins from your body. Dry brushing helps keep your pores clear to make the process even more effective. It also stimulates sweat and oil glands to help hydrate skin. It’s a cheap, quick way to keep your skin looking fresh and vibrant.
I once thought that every body lotion was the same… until I tried La Roche-Posay’s Lipkar Baume AP+. If you have dry, itchy skin during the winter, let this lotion be your saviour. It’s a replenishing balm that immediately soothes itchy, irritated skin and makes your skin soft and comfortable for hours. I keep it next to my shower and apply as soon as I step out t lock it maximum moisture.
