I love trying out the new beauty products to hit the shelves as much as any other girl, but my approach to beauty this month was slightly different. With the heat of the summer in its last few days, I wanted to update my look with peachier shades that would add a touch of sunshine to my face, and finally take control of my frizzy summer hair.
Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Color in Lotus Pink – I was in the market for the perfect peachy pink blush and I found it with this blush. Its super soft and velvety texture applies beautifully and lasts all day. It also has a touch of shimmer to give your skin a natural glow. This shade (Lotus Pink) is easy to apply and super buildable, so you can control the intensity of the colour.
MAC Lipstick in Coral Bliss – Although the shade looks bright in the tube, it’s actually super wearable. It applies quite sheer and gives your lips that perfect hint of coral for summer. Even if summer is slowly coming to an end, I’m going to wear this shade as long as I can.
Kérastase Carrés Lissant – If you’re like me, as soon as the summer humidity hits, your hair becomes frizzy in a way that would make Diana Ross jealous. These little squares that look a lot like drying sheets will change all that. Laced with an advanced anti-static technology that eliminates frizz, controls static, tames pesky flyaways and blocks humidity from ruining your ‘do. Since trying these, they’ve taken up a permanent spot in my handbag.
