Life can really suck sometimes. The weather is gross, your apartment is too small, you don’t have enough money to afford those killer shoes you want… yes, life can really “suck”. Instead of complaining ansd whining about the little things, why not appreciate what you have. When you take a moment to take inventory of everything you have to be grateful for, you come to realize that life isn’t that bad and, in fact, you have it pretty good! What makes you happy? What makes you feel good? What makes you smile?
Here are a few things that I am grateful for:
My family – through good times and bad, they are always there to offer support. Priceless!
My health – let’s face it, without health you have nothing. And it’s one of those things you don’t realize is important until you get sick.
Uncontrollable laughter – the kind that makes your stomach hurt
My partner – man he puts up with a lot of shit from me, and for that I am super grateful
The feeling of getting into a warm bed at night after a long day
Big mugs – especially when they are filled with fresh coffee (and come to think of it, the scent of freshly brewed coffee)
Fresh fruit and veggies that are easily accessible
The invigorating feeling after a good run
The ability to read (and learn from reading)
