The sun is shining and the weather is warming up, so I thought that in the spirit of spring I would share my sunglass collection. Sunglasses are one of my favourite accessories. They can easily add a touch of class, sophistication or qwerkiness to an outfit and keep your peepers protected from harmful UV rays. I tend to get migraines when it gets really bright so I always make sure that I have a set of sunnies in my bag. While building my collection, I don’t have the mindset of “the more the merrier”. Instead, I try to find styles that give my collection variety and balance. As a result, all are classic style, but with that little something extra that make them stand out. In the photo above (from top to bottom) are my favourite pair of super big and round Chloé Erine sunnies. They are a deep aubergine colour and I adore the gold scallop detail on the top. I got them ages ago, but you might still be able to find them online with a quick Google search. Next up, these mirrored shades by Firmoo. The top of the frames are burgundy and the bottom are clear. They are amazing! Finally, classic cat eye tortoise shell sunnies by Kate Spade (similar here), for those days when I want to be a little more glam.
You can’t go wrong with these Céline shades. I love the round shape of the lenses and the tortoise shell frames. They are a little heavier than my other sunglasses though which means they tend to leave marks on my nose. Annoying? A little, but definitely not a deal breaker. Next, aviators by Michael Kors. I really believe that everyone needs a great pair of aviators. These are light and stay in place even on super hot days.
Another classic style you just can’t go wrong with is wayfarers. The top shades are by Polaroid (did you know they made sunnies???). These are some of the most amazing sunnies I own. Not only do they look cute with the black front and the tortoise shell sides, but the lenses are polarized which make them easy on the eyes. Seriously, if you’ve never tried polarized lenses before, you need to get on that. Next up, Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer Color Mix in black and blue. I fell in love with the lenses which have a gradient effect going from dark on the top to light on the bottom. They are gorgeous! Third, these black gradient frames from Firmoo are ultra light, almost like you aren’t wearing anything. They are so simple, yet bring a touch of effortless style to your look. And finally, no sunglass collection is complete without the new black Wayfarers.
And there you have it! What sunglasses are you loving?
