If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know all about my love for sheet masks. There’s just something about them that makes me feel so pampered and makes me feel like I’m doing so much good for my skin. So anytime I get the chance to try out a new sheet mask, I’m all in. The day these adorable character masks by The Face Shop showed up on my doorstep was a good day. Not only was it an excuse to drop everything for a little “me time”, but just look at how cute these masks are!
The Character Masks come in three animals a.k.a. formulas – brightening puppy, moisturizing pig and soothing monkey (I wish you could see how much I’m smiling as I’m writing this).
The Puppy Mask is formulated with cotton seed extract to brighten dull skin and leave looking and feeling matte.
The Pig Mask is made with vitamin- and nutrient-rich honey for its moisturizing and illuminating properties to give your skin a boost of moisture and leave it looking fabulously radiant.
The Monkey Mask gives your skin soothing moisture with its dose of apple extract. Perfect for those days when your skin is feeling a little dry and sensitive.
Each mask is also infused with collagen and hyaluronic acid (which we know is great for plumping skin and giving it that glow), and all are formulated without parabens, talc, mineral oil, polyacrylamide (an ingredient commonly found in cosmetics and skin care, and a suspected carcinogen) and paraffin.
The first one I decided to try was the puppy mask. I ripped open the package to find the mask neatly folded inside. The scent is light and pleasant, adding to my mini (at home) spa experience. As I unfolded the mask, I couldn’t help but notice the absence of a backing that I usually find in sheet masks, the one you have to peel off before using the mask. I’m not sure why some brand decided to have that, but I do appreciate that this one doesn’t have that. It seems so much less wasteful. My mask unfolded, I can’t help but smile because… well look…
It quite literally has a puppy face on it! Too cute! The mask applied easily to my face and stayed on for the full 15 minutes. When time was up, I removed the mask and massaged whatever product was left on my skin on my face and down my neck. My face definitely had a glow and my skin felt super soft. I absolutely loved it! Plus, I think my beau got a kick from seeing me wearing a puppy face.
Have you tried the character masks from The Face Shop yet? Let me know what you thought.
