Beautiful skin requires commitment, not a miracle.
If you know me well, you know that I love skincare. Over the years, I’ve learned a lot about my skin, what lies beneath the surface and which ingredients keep it looking healthy and youthful. I’ve tried a lot of different products – some I loved and some I didn’t. Today, I want to introduce you to three products that I’ve been loving and that have helped my skin look beautiful.
It took me a long time to find an eye cream that I really loved. During a shopping trip to Sephora, one of the girls who works there recommended I try the Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Eye Cream. I bought it, tried it and haven’t looked back since.
If you’re looking for an eye cream that deals with dullness, fine lines and dryness, then I highly recommend this. It’s super lightweight and gives your under eyes a slight glow. It also helps to minimize and prevent signs of aging, and provides antioxidant protection, thanks to the star fruit extract. I love how quickly it absorbs into the skin. I take a drop on my ring finger, gently tap the product under my eyes and finish by swiping from the inside of the eye to the outside corner. My skincare routine just isn’t complete without this little gem.
We never give the skin on our neck much thought, but it’s one of the places that show signs of aging most (the hands are another). I’ve always spread whatever products I use on my face down my neck, but once I was introduced to StriVectin Tightening Neck Serum Roller, I discovered a whole new world of skincare I didn’t even know existed. I have to admit that at first I was skeptical. I thought this was purely gimmicky. But after using an entire tube of this serum, I’m a believer. The lightweight serum works to visibly tighten and firm up skin and give your profile a more toned appearance. The applicator really helps the product absorb into the skin quickly and give it an overall youthful appearance. File this one under “products I never knew I needed but I’m happy I found.”
There’s a moment when you just have to admit that you are in denial and this moment is it for me. I just can’t accept that summer is over, so finding a great self-tanner is my way of holding on to a drop of sunshine. If you’re like meYou know how self-tanners have a (albeit outdated) reputation for turning your skin into the perfect shade of oompa loompa orange? The Vita Liberata pHenomenal Tan Mousse won’t do that. The other thing it won’t do is leave your skin looking streaky, make your bathroom smell funky or give you a fake-looking tan. As with other self tanners, it’s best to exfoliate in the shower before, then I highly recommend you use the application mitt. It makes the results so flawless and (dare I say) foolproof. The other thing I love about this self-tanner is that the colour is buildable. You’ll get a gorgeous glow with just one application, but if you’re looking to make your tan a little deeper, wait 4-8 hours, shower and reapply. I did two applications and the results were beautiful. It almost made forget the snow storm happening just outside my window.
