“We’re a matcha made in heaven.”
Let me start by saying that I love coffee. In fact, I start most days with a cup (or two… or three) because I genuinely love the taste. But every once in a while, my obsession switches to tea, like all kinds of tea. I love herbal tea most of the time, but my real obsession is with green tea, especially matcha… but even more specifically matcha latte made with almond milk.
I make mine with Vital Proteins Matcha Collagen, which love for all it’s benefits: it’s filled with antioxidants, it promotes bone, joint and skin health (hello fountain of youth) and it’s super easy to use compared to other matcha powder because it blends so easily in liquids. Need I say more?
Now before you say anything about it not being vegan, you’re right. VP Matcha Collagen is made from Japanese matcha green tea and grass-fed, pasture-fed bovine hide. But hey, it’s my 3% of non-vegan foods I accept in my diet.
If you’ve read this far, it means that you’re inspired. And also wanting me to get to the recipe. So here it is, the ViP Matcha Latte:
ViP Matcha Latte
1 scoop Vital Proteins Matcha Collagen
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/2 tbsp maple syrup
Heat almond milk in the microwave or on stovetop until warm. Add the matcha collagen and honey and whisk. That’s it! See, easy peasy!
