First Look! Versace for H&M!

Ok, are you ready for this? We’ve been hearing the rumors for months. Now there is photographic evidence of the Versace for H&M collection set to hit store in November 2011. And the photos released in the October issue of Vogue Russia have definitely got me jonezing to add a few pieces to my wardrobe. Flashy prints, vibrant colours, guilded jewelry -  I’m sure this collection would be very happy in my closet. But let’s be honest, I’ve never stood in line for hours for an H&M designer collection, and I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t do it now either (it’s something about the pushing and shoving of the whole experience that turns me off). So for now I will admire the collection from these photos, especially that adorable black floral jacket in the fifth image.

Currently Obsessed :: Olivia Palermo

As a fashion obsessed chick, I admire, I covet and I envy the style of other chic chicks. I can spend hours perusing fashion blogs and searching for inspiration, and I never cease to be amazed at how creative some can be. I mean, let’s face it, we are all shopping at the same stores (H&M and Zara anyone?), but it takes a true fashionista to create truly unique looks and shape their very own style. Case in point, Olivia Palermo, also known as my current style obsession. I admire her simple style that is also so pulled together. I covet her handbag collection composed of Hermes, Chloé and Sergio Rossi. I envy how she takes such inexpensive pieces and mixes them to always create the perfect  look. Her style proves two theories: 1- It’s all in the details, and 2- You don’t have to spend a fortune to look like a million bucks!

Simple Things!

With summer finally making an appearance, I can’t help but ditch the blacks and greys I’ve been donning the past 6 months and surround myself with bold colours. There’s just something about these bright hues that makes me smile and bring me so much joy!

See by Chloe WalletMy new See by Chloé wallet. I’m adore this coral hue, perfect for summer!

Colourful summer necklacesBrightly jewelry give a pop of colour to any outfit.

Colourful nail polishesPinks, corals, mints, lilacs, sparkles – there are more options to sport than there are days in the summer!

Summer sandalsNew white sandals. Hopefully Mother Nature will see these and cooperate for me to wear these soon! (Psst! By the way, if you are looking for super comfy ladies shoes, check out!)

Fresh herbsThe endless supply of herbs adorning my balcony. Parsley, thyme, oregano, rosemary… I especially love the bright yellow and purple flowers!

Lanvin for H&M – The Video!

If you’ve been somehow living under a rock and haven’t yet seen it, check out the Lanvin for H&M video.

Of the collection, Creative Director Alber Elbaz explains, “H&M approached us to collaborate, and see if we could translate the dream we created at Lanvin to a wider audience, not just a dress for less. I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public.”

The exclusive collection is set to hit stores November 20th. So polish up your shopping shoes and get ready! It’s going to be a wild ride!

Shopping Therapy!

Sorry I ‘ve been MIA for the past week, but it’s all been for a good cause! I’ve been up to my eyeballs in work, from my regular day job to a few personal projects I’ve been working to get off the ground. And of course, I’ve found the time to do a little shopping a score a few new pieces to share with all of you.

I got tickets to visit La Braderie de mode québécoise the day before the official opening last week (thanks Pat!). Now I’ve mentioned before how I don’t really connect with Quebec designers; I just can’t really relate to the style. However, like a true shopaholic, I did still manage to score a few cute pieces.

I’ve wanted a horseshoe necklace since I spotted Carrie Bradshaw sporting hers. So when I came across this one I thought it was just too perfect. Simple, elegant and adorned with Swarovski crystals. The twist? The pendant hangs at the back – so sexy with a backless dress and beautiful updo.

I feel off the wagon and indulged in my substance addiction – shoes! I actually wasn’t looking for shoes (ha! Biggest excuse in the book!), but when I came across these, they were too perfect not to take home with me!

I adore these! I had originally stopped by H&M to exchange a top, but when I came across these I couldn’t resist!

I also took the chance to stock up on my favourite scent – Chloé. I have kept my signature scent a secret for so long worried that everyone on the planet would start wearing it (seriously, remember that CK One phase, EVERYONE wore it!). But then I realized how stupid that was, so here it is! It smells so light and fresh, I love it!

And finally, to feed my literary side, The Book of Awesome. The simple pleasures in life that make us so happy! I came across this book while browsing book sites and the reviews were so convincing! Readers talking about how much they laughed out loud while reading it, and how doesn’t want to laugh more! It is the best medicine.

Looks of the day!

Coat: Ellabee - Shoes: Le Château

Suit: Zara - Shirt & tie: H&M

Dress: Vintage Algo-ettes

When I saw these pics of my friend Scott and his fiancé Sarah, I just had to post them. The vintage 60s feel of these photographs is just too beautiful not to. I especially love how, despite the 60s vibe, they still have a modern touch to them. The suit is classic and handsome. But let’s face it, it’s all about the bride! Her dress  is vintage Algo-ettes and is absolutely beautiful. The bodice is a type of embroidery finished with a full skirt. Classic 60s! Together with the hair, the pearls and the shoes adorned with a bow, the look is just so pretty. Congratulations you two!
